Manitowoc Futbol Club (MFC) offers a higher level of competition in its Select Program for 10 - 18 year old Girls and Boys. Players register with LUFC and teams play within East Central.  Playing on a MFC Select team requires a higher level of commitment by the player and their family than Community Soccer.  Each team is coached by a United States Soccer Federation/WI Youth Soccer Association licensed coach and will receive training led by MFC's Director of Coaching.

This program is geared to the committed soccer player that aspires to develop skills and team play while preparing them for State League, High School and College Soccer.  We do offer a 6 month program for the High School ages and a 12-month program focusing on player and team development in preparation for competitive league and tournament play.  With increasing levels of competition, players will develop both technical skills and tactical awareness of the game.

All home games take place in Manitowoc, Wisconsin - primarily at the Manitowoc Futbol Club, Away games for the East Central League are played in the Fox Valley, Green Bay and surrounding areas.

Why Play Select?

Our Select Program ​focuses on player and team development in preparation for competitive league and tournament play. 

All teams are coached by USSF/WYSA licensed coaches and participate in a mandatory team camp prior to the first outdoor season that stresses LUFC curriculum, philosophies and team building.

With increasing levels of competition against soccer clubs throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest, players will develop both technical skills and tactical awareness of the game. 

MFC's goal as a club is to begin to have a playing year like most Select Clubs in the US; begin in June with Tryouts and conclude at the end of the following Spring Season. 

For U11-U15 (prior to high school) athletes this includes:

• Tryouts in June
• Fall Outdoor Season (August - November)
• Spring Outdoor Season (April - June)

As athletes enter high school, U16-U19 players will play a modified outdoor schedule that does not interfere with area high school soccer programs: 

• Tryouts in June
• Girls Fall Outdoor Season (September - November)
• Boys Spring Outdoor Season (April - June)
